When we went there the weather was very downcast and rainy.

For lunch, we went to another restaurant under the resort called The Bistro. Had Thai food. It was wonderful.

We had our team-building session in a small meeting room.

That night we had dinner at our of their restaurants called Three Spices. The weird thing about this is that you need to exit the resort first, walk about 50 meters on the public road before entering the restaurant. I guess, when they built the restaurant, there was no space available in the resort itself. The food is just so-so.

The road outside the resort is so busy and provincial town-like. Very haphazard. Crossing the road is a skill only for the brave. Note the miles of power lines overhead.

The hotel is single story with many linked chalets - resort style. Despite the serene ambiance, the noise pollution from the road is excessive.

The funny thing about the room is the entrance. Its via the sliding door instead of a standard door one would expect in any room. Hence the need to keep the curtains drawn.

Wifi services is provided throughout resort.

The decor is Thai fusion and pleasing to the eye.

The rooms are not that big but complete with all the modern things.

The deck chairs on the beach are actually owned by other businesses. Once you sit on one, you will be charge a rental.

The beach in Patong is not clean. The water is very dark due to particulates and I don't dare take a dip in it.

There is a small pool for guests. At just 80 rooms, I guess it is just sufficient.

The beaches in Patong are public beaches. As such, the hotel has no control on who can set up business in front of the hotel. This is another negative part about resort. Moreover, ATV and dirt bikes crisscross the beach dangerously. In fact, the hotel issues a warning advisory to guests about the dangers on the beach.

The hotel we stayed is the Impiana Resort And Spa, Patong. This is only one of only two hotels which fronts the beach. Unfortunately, the access to the hotel is via a very busy, and only road servicing the Patong beach area.

We then hopped backed into the bus for our final leg of the day - Impiana Resort Patong. Half and hour later from the Marina, we arrived at Patong Beach.

As usual, checking stuff on hand phones is a must.

After getting our luggage and passing immigrations, we boarded our bus to make our way to our hotel on Patong Beach. The drive is expected to last for one hour. As we arrived at noon, we took a short detour to the Royal Phuket Marina which was on the way to the hotel.

There's a lot of boats at the piers. Note also the dark clouds. Despite it being noon, the felt like dawn.

Half an hour later we arrived at the Marina.

While waiting for the flight, had something to eat at Burger King. Got a seat at the window and saw the roof of the airport covered with photovoltaic solar panels. Very happy to note that Malaysia Airports Berhad is on the green bandwagon.

After passing immigrations, I took the airport train to go to the Terminal C where there is more shops and eating places. I also saw the new KLIA 2 being built. It also has it own tower.

At KLIA, Raymond Weil has the right to put up clocks all over the terminal.

I also took a picture of a clock on the platform. The brand is "Siemens". Never knew Siemens made clocks as well.

Organised a team-building event for the company in Phuket. Was lucky to get a special package from MAS for the flight arrangements. As usual, my mode of transport to the KLIA is the ERL. Convenient for me as allows immediate check-in at the station. Took a selfie.

It took about an hour and a half to get to the airport. Its not that far but traffic is terrible.

The mantle piece clock is antique. The winding mechanism does put it in the correct era.

I believe this is another reproduction since the watch is also quartz.
