Went to Traders Hotel to meet up with old university friends.

The triple volume of the lobby ceiling is very refreshing.

Everything feels new and a live.

Went to visit the new Sime Darby Hospital near the old Subang Airport. The inside looks like a hotel! The waiting area or lobby is sprawling and the couches are in abundance and far apart.

Been eying the Dyson hand-held vacuum cleaner for a couple of years now and finally I took the plunge to get one. I got the top of the range version that includes all the various components. Not a cheap investment, spent RM2200 for this thing.

So yummy.

On 5 May 2014, RAM organised its annual RAM League Awards Night at the Shangrila Hotel Kuala Lumpur. The MC was Yasmin Yusoff.

When I arrived at the transit airport of Doha, it is a different situation. The Business Lounge there is huge and spectacular.

Romanian airport is small. I think similar in size to Subang Airport. The Business Lounge is also basic.

The taxi ride was interesting. The driver was very talkative and explained the history of the country since the fall of communism. I was amused to find that they are not that hot on the EU either. Even though they are part of the EU, they did not want to adopt the Euro currency. The population also now see that being part of a large group robs them of a lot of protection mechanisms. Now, money and size wins. A lot of their industry is going bust and taken over by the richer Europeans. The young now have to leave Romania to other countries in the Euro to find better jobs. This perpetuates the crumbling of Romania's current business elite which then allows foreigners to just step in and buy out for cheap.

Bags are packed and checked out of the room. Now waiting for the taxi to get to the airport. For the trip back home, wore green all the way, including my watch dial!

All the days I've stayed at the hotel, I have yet to visit the top floor where the gym and pool are located. The view on that floor was breathtaking. The clear sky allows me to see far. Took a picture of the city. Note the lack of skyscrapers as this region is located on top of a earthquake zone.

This is one version of a very refreshing marketing trick to lure customers and create a form of legitimacy to an otherwise pure commercial venture. Make a believable story which a lot of people can relate to.

Here is a typical scene at the GSC Cinema at Alamanda, Putrajaya. At the moment there are 8 cinema halls in operations.

There are some nice high-end hotels in Putrajaya where you can have a good mean albeit expensive. If you want a cheaper alternative where parking is free, fantastic view, loads of choices and cheap, look no further than the Putrajaya Yacht Club. If you are a member of the club, you get an additional 20% discount over the total bill.

We are blessed with the beauty of Kuala Lumpur. Here was a sunset shot of the wonderful colours over Kuala Lumpur. The buildings are in Bangsar.

The climbing walls are about 5 stories high. The colour denotes the level of difficulty.

If you are into wall climbing, the facility in Putrajaya is first class. There is a wide bouldering wall with various difficulties. More importantly, the floor is foam covered. If you fall, you will be protected from injury somewhat.

It was just a small event with about 30 guests. Below was the scene during the setting up of the room.

Last Monday (21 April 2014) was the launching of the first printed publication from BPAM. The event was held in the SC.

The Romanians are really proud to be a member of the EU. Everywhere you see a place to hang a flag, there will be an EU flag flying besides a Romanian flag.

Bucharest sits on an earthquake zone, hence the hesitant of any developer to plan anything tall.

Notice the lack of any tall buildings.

Even the balcony is huge.
