Family (part2)

For my mother-in-law's birthday, we took her out for an Arabian meal at DIMA in Ara Damansara. Group photo of the whole family minus my brother-in-law's. He and his family was in Saudi Arabia.

A few weekends ago was the the first Red Bull Air Race ever to be held here in Putrajaya. You need to buy tickets to see it but it was worth it. The planes were so fast that this is the only clear photo I got.

I saw this book at MPH the other day and I was intrigued by the style of writing. Written by Ian Doescher, it is a story about Starwars Episode IV: A New Hope but written in the style of William Shakespeare. Hence the title is called: "Verily, A New Hope".

Last weekend was my cousin Eff's wedding reception at Shangrila Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. I wasn't there but my sister-in-law took some photos which I posted below.

The gate of the park is thick and has a very substantial bolt.

Sitting at the benches you can see the center of Putrajaya. This is a good spot to be in when there is fireworks being displayed in Putrajaya.

At one corner of the park is an amphitheater.

Very undulating area. Good for sweating!

This is the rubber pressing demonstration area. From here you can see the presses used to flatten globs of rubber into thin shapes.

In the middle of the park is a nice village house made out of wood. It also serves as a small museum. Beside it is a small rubber tapping demonstration area.

This park is set on a hillside. You are able to see a lot of Putrajaya.

The park has nice walkways and if you follow them, you will be able to see all the fruit trees planted in this park. It is also a good place to exercise by walking or jogging.

Over the weekend went to visit Taman Warisan Pertanian situated in Presint 16 Putrajaya. Adults need only pay RM2 to enter the park. Kids get in for free. This park is famous for its fruit orchard.

Ongoing lecture

Whatever been said, GST is a fairer system to collect taxes. It would be painful at the point of adoption but in the long-run it will benefit the nation in the long run.

Had a company-wide seminar on the implementation of GST. Got a couple of guys that used to work with the Inland Revenue of Singapore to share their experience.

The center court of Mid Valley is full of transformer robots. Full size. Quite impressive.

Found this old photo of the 2013 Christmas decorations at Bangsar Shopping Center in my handphone. The concept of like 'Alice in Wonderland' where everything was giant sized. Note the guy walking under the table at the bottom right corner of the photo.

In the last week or so the new corporate HQ for Bank Rakyat was testing its lights. I even got a video of the test.

The small field. This access to this field is only via KL Sentral. There is no way to get to it via Jalan Travers.

Across the field and across Jalan Travers is the new Bank Rakyat HQ.

You can also see the 1Sentral building as well from this field.

Do you know that there is a small field in KL Sentral? It is on this field that people will evacuate to when there is an emergency at their respective buildings. This field is situated at the end of the UEM building. From the field, the UEM building looks very grand.

Over the weekend walked around NU Sentral. Had Nando's for dinner. Surprisingly, all the restaurants are at the higher levels i.e. Level 4 and beyond. Took a selfie at the restaurant.
