A day before Merdeka, I went with my family to the parking lot of National Museum to see all the Malaysian military vehicles that will be used for the national day parade. Below is an old Scorpion tank.

All aluminum construction, the bottom consist of the pressure vessel while the top is the catchment pot. Over the weekend, I bought some coffee beans to try it out. The output was just like what you would get out of expensive coffee machines. For the investment of USD24.99, I can use this anywhere where there is a heat source.

I finally got my Bialetti Moka Express stove pot from Amazon after a 48 hour delay. Because I took the Amazon deliver option, I got a refund (courier charges) due to the delay. I was quite happy about it. The box came complete and was professionally packed.

When we took the bus we were the only one on it.

Yesterday, went on a free ride on the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur shuttle bus from KL Sentral to the hotel. The bus is there every half hour and can be found at the entrance of the ERL Arrival Hall. The conductor wears a very period costume. I got a picture with him.

The statues are at least 30 feet tall.

Over the weekend, spent some time with the kids to see Tugu Negara or National Monument in conjunction of Merdeka (Independence Day) that is coming up. Interesting to see that French is used in the sign post instead of English. I wonder why?

At least they are still healthy and able to move on their own.
